Is my private information and identity secure?
Yes it is very secure. There is no way that anyone else can come across your private information on our site. We even insist that you do not publicly disclose any private information, (such as family name, address, phone number etc.) about you on the site.

Why was my credit card denied?
There are many reasons why an order comes back denied by your financial institution. Most common are:
  • Insufficient funds available
  • Your card has expired
  • Your billing address does not match the card statement
  • CVV/CVV2 (card verification value) number incorrect or incomplete

How do I change my username/password?
Log into the site using your username and password. Click on the "My Profile" and scroll down to where your password is. Enter your new password in the appropriate box and click on the "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.

How do I get message from other members?
Slovica uses a sophisticated emailing system. When you get mail, it goes into your mailbox on Slovica, and you are also automatically notified in your private email address. The sender does not get to see your private email address. This will present you with a link back to Slovica, where you can then log in as usual to read your mail.

How do I block a member from contacting me?
You have to be logged in to members area. Search the member you want to block. When the member's detail appears, click on "View Profile". When the next page appears, click on "Block Member".

How do I send a member a compliment?
You have to be logged in to members area. Search the member you want to compliment and click on "Send a Compliment" on a member's page menu.

How do I add a member to hotlist?
You have to be logged in to members area. Search the member you want to add to your Hot List and click on "Hot List" link on a member's page menu.
YOUR PROFILE Are profiles censored, and is there any limit to what I can put in my profile?
Slovica team approves all members profiles if they comply to our Terms and Conditions.

How long does it take to have my profile approved?
It usually takes 1-2 days to have your profile approved, depending on how many people sign up each day. Please note: we do not approve profiles without a real photo.

How do I temporarily turn off my profile?
Log into the site using your Username and password. Click on the "My Profile" and click on the "Suspend account" link at the top of the page.

How do I permanently remove my profile and account?
To permanently delete your profile, please click here to contact our customer service.

How do I update my profile?
To update your profile, please follow these steps: Log into the site using your username and password. Click on the "My Profile" under My Menu to the top left hand side of the page. Make all necessary changes and then scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Save Changes".
EMAIL PROBLEMS I can't receive any emails from Slovica. Why?
We send three types of emails to our members' email addresses. First, a confirmation email is sent to a new member's email address he/she provides during registration. Second, when a member receives chat messages or other interactive communication messages in the members' area, a notification message will be sent to that member's email address. Third, occasionally, we send promotional messages to our members' email addresses.

Some members noted that they didn't receive our notification messages in their inboxes. We encourage you to check your bulk mail, spam folder, or junk mail folder to see if your anti-spam filters have incorrectly sorted your confirmation or notification emails there.

Here are some steps to take to fix spam blocking and email filtering issues:

To ensure to receive your confirmation or notification emails from us, please add no-reply@slovica.com and other blocked email addresses @slovica.com to your approved sender addresses list in your spam filter for most web-based email programs. Specific steps are listed below for a few of the largest email providers.
If you use spam filtering or bulk mail software, we encourage you to place the address no-reply@slovica.com and other blocked email addresses @slovica.com in your approved sender or friends addresses list. By telling your filtering software to allow emails with this address through you ensure that you will not miss any confirmation or notification emails from Slovica.
  • MSN Hotmail: Select "Options" and then "Junk email Protection" and add no-reply@slovica.com and other blocked email addresses @slovica.com to your Safe List.
  • Yahoo Mail: If spam is not a problem for you, you may want to turn off SpamGuard under Mail Options. If you use SpamGuard, check your bulk mail folder regularly to ensure important messages are not mistakenly filtered. Click the "addresses" button, then select "Add Contact" and save no-reply@slovica.com and other blocked email addresses @slovica.com to your contacts list.
  • Gmail by Google: Go to your Spam folder and check the box next to the message you want to approve, then click on the "Not Spam" button at the top of the page.
  • Other ISP's: Some ISP's enable spam filters that you can turn off or tune to your preferences. Check your ISP's Web site or contact their technical support team if you believe you are missing messages from Slovica or any other email subscriptions.
  • Other Email Software: Check your email software options or settings screen to see if you can add no-reply@slovica.com and other blocked email addresses @slovica.com to "white list" or "safe list" of senders that are never filtered. Alternatively, there may be a folder where suspected spam is moved. You should check there regularly to ensure important messages, such as Slovica mailings, are not mistakenly filtered.
